Events for Non-Registered Dogs
In October, 2010, the American Kennel Club began a new Canine Partners program which allows all-American dogs to compete in AKC Obedience, Rally, and Agility Trials with an AKC Canine Partners number.
The Reliant Park World Series of Dog Shows will offer an educational presentation on the new program as well as “try me” rings for dogs that are not already registered with the AKC through their purebred registry or their Purebred Alternative Listing registry.
There is no additional cost beyond paying admission to the Shows. Instructors will be available at the “try me” rings to help you and your dog attempt a couple of exercises. The courses are fun and almost anyone and his dog can complete them.
The American Kennel Club will be offering a discounted Canine Partners application fee and a special sign-up package at the show.
